Establishment of AFI is a Historical event where in the various associations like, General Practioners Association Of BAMS doctors. Vaidyakiya Horata Sangh, Homeopathy association and others came under one umbrella to fight the common cause of AYUSH doctors. Since the inception in 2010, AFI has faced many challenges and so far it has successfully overcome all those challenges and succeeded in Establishing itself as the only State Govt. recognized Association. Govt. of Karnataka included AFI in KPME act 2010 amendmentand since then AFI Representatives are included in all the committee formed by state Govt. to take any Policy decissions.
Now AFI is having district and taluk branches all over Karnataka with total registered members of over 10000 Practioners and Academicians.

Ayush habba in Pilikula and Ayush utsav in Nehru Maidan are our mega events, which attracted more than 5 lakh people from different parts of India 6. we are lucky to felicitate our First Ayush minister Sri Sripad Esso Nayak and recently central Ayush minister Sri Sarbananda Sonawalji
Our district has Wenlock AYUSH govt hospital,7 Ayurvedic college's , 3 Naturopathy college's 2 Homeopathy College's.
